Lone Worker Install Instructions
After a user has been created
Install Home Assistant from App Store
Login with details provided
The Home assistant App installed will have the app buttons on the main page, if you prefer to have home screen widgets, Apple Watch button and Car play buttons. Keep reading.. Android users skip to step 6.
On iPhone Home Assistant App, Go to Settings, Companion App, Actions and Add
Actions are to be named, Lone Worker Enable, Lone Worker Disable, I am ok and Emergency Mode. Set the background colours and icons as you see in the above snapshots.
Add a widget on the home screen like the one above... Apple Watch and Car Play are done automatically.
Now the actions have been created and your login was successful you can now be onboarded to this Lone Worker.
Only Emergency Mode will share your GPS Location for now, all others sensors should be turned off from Home Assistant Settings, Companion App, Sensors, as we don't need to know your steps for the day...
Email me for automations setup after first login success. After setup your name will appear in the google sheet then your good to test it out. For the moment all emails are going to my mailbox until we have a dedicated user to monitor the system.
I'm working on a way to quickly disable/enable your GPS for HA logging, so it only logs during lone working and not when your out shopping, for the moment you can disable location in phone settings or disable sensors in HA Companion app, see Step 6 above.
